# Overview

**DeMint** is an on-chain mining economy and strategy game built on **Solana**.\
Players compete by **deploying SOL as Channel Energy** into a **5×5 grid of 25 Mining Channels**, each round creating a fair, verifiable contest for freshly minted $DMNT.

Every few minutes, a new mining cycle begins — one Channel becomes the **winning vein**, distributing $DMNT and SOL rewards to its miners. The longer players stay in the system, the more they can compound through **Refining**, **Staking**, and **Buyback Rewards**.
